Breast Sizes
Understandably, a lot of confusion arises before a breast augmentation op about the perfect size implant for you. Unlike Saline implants which can be filled with different amounts but generally yield a poorer end result, silicone implants arrive in fixed sizes. There is a massive choice, but which is ideal? Like car tyres, there are also many different profiles available with the same volume!
Abdoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
A tummy tuck is a form of cosmetic surgery where excess fat and skin is removed from the lower and middle abdomen to make your tummy firmer.
Post Pregnancy Cosmetic Surgery
With over half-a-million women worldwide receiving breast implants each year, the question of breastfeeding after surgery is a pertinent one.
Breast Feeding with Implants
With over half-a-million women worldwide receiving breast implants each year, the question of breastfeeding after surgery is a pertinent one. While the reasons behind seeking augmentation may differ from correcting deformities to responding to treatment after breast cancer, the most common motive continues to be for cosmetic purposes. With that said, when women who have undergone this procedure fall pregnant and start to prepare for the birth of their babies, they can experience anxiety about breastfeeding.
Medical Thigh Lift
Correction of the middle, andparticulary the upper middle of your thigh is a desire shared by many ladies that visit Chimera Clinic. The vast majority of these are corrected with liposuction alone, but limitation of skin shrinkage(retraction) may impair the final outcome. For these ladies, a medial thigh lift is the answer.
Liposuction
Liposuction involves the removal of excess fat cells from the body using a metal tube called a canula. Amongst plastic surgeons, liposuction is regarded as an art, as it involves careful sculpting of the body.
Gynecomastia (Male Breasts)
The general male fascination with breasts is most often limited to those found on females. Gynecomastia, also termed “man boobs” when being kind or “bitch tits” when being less so, certainly trades attraction for something closer to distaste.
Genital Enhancements Female -Vaginoplasty (Labiaplasty)
The history of breast augmentation surgery has followed the tempestuous path of alternating progress and hurdles, with a large helping of hysteria served up on occasion. This media and socialy driven publicity is often very well founded and the PIP debacle is one such occasion. At times however, it is more furore than fact, which may or may not improve our outcomes, but always does improve patient knowledge and participation.
Brazilian Butt Enhancement
For standard buttock rejuvenations, the technique I recommend is the Brazilian butt enhancement.
Arm Lift
Like so many other visible areas of our bodies, our upper arms are often an area of great consternation in the war against time and gravity.
Breast Lift
This cosmetic operation, known as a mastopexy, is designed to lift and to fill empty breasts, particularly found after breastfeeding. The lift is directed to lifting the nipple, the focal point of the breast. Frequently improvement is requested either after having had children or after massive weight loss.
Saline Implants vs Silicone Implants
The popularity of breast augmentation procedures is evident worldwide. It remains the most common or within the top three most requested cosmetic operations today, depending on geographic location. Decreased demand is often associated with media inspired hysteria or populist scandals of the time (The PIP debacle being one such). Despite this, augmentation has enhanced the lives by improving self image and confidence of between five and ten million women worldwide.
PIP (Poly Implant Prothese) Implants
The history of breast augmentation surgery has followed the tempestuous path of alternating progress and hurdles, with a large helping of hysteria served up on occasion. This media and socialy driven publicity is often very well founded and the PIP debacle is one such occasion. At times however, it is more furore than fact, which may or may not improve our outcomes, but always does improve patient knowledge and participation.
Breast Reduction
Breast Reduction Surgery at Chimera Clinic is the oportunity for Dr. Shaw to improve your day to day living experience. Many aspects of yourlife are simplified, such as the ability to buy matching clothing. Buying bra’s and swimwear, sport outfits and all physical activities are simplified. Spine, breast and shoulder discomfort, as well as associated skin conditions are also improved.
Breast Augmentation
Chimera Cosmetic Clinic uses natural feeling, cohesive Silicon filled implants to augment breast size and enhance shape. The gain in self confidence is realised by placing the implant behind the breast, and sometimes also behind your muscle.
Rhinoplasty - Nose Job
Rhinoplasty, or nose job surgery, is the most artistic procedure undertaken by plastic surgeons. This is because all the work is done on the underlying framework of the nose, which consists of a bone and cartilage combination. The skin must then shrink and shape over the new modified nasal structure. This takes up to two years, and thereafter the changes become visible and stable. The amount of change also depends on your skin type and thickness.
Facelift
Rhytidectomy (Face Lift), commonly known as a facelift, is the surgical process of returning the face and neck to a more youthful and rested state. As we age, we lose tissue fullness, which results in wrinkling, sagging and unwanted hollows that are accentuated – specifically in areas where the tissue is attached to underlying bones. Facelift surgery removes extra skin to reduce wrinkles, firms up the layer under the skin, smoothes out the front of the neck, and refills hollow areas.
Neck Surgery
Cosmetic Neck Surgery – Our chin and neck areas are highly visible and ready telltale signs of aging. Unfortunately, these are often neglected during facial cosmetic improvements. The improved face shows in stark contrast to the waddles, turkey gobblers and lined, wrinkled neck, pointing to both aging as well as previous facial surgery.
Eye Surgery
Unlike the actual round structure of your eye that cannot be cosmetically improved, the surrounding eyelid is pliable and perfect for surgical enhancement. The eye and eyelid is the focal point of human interactions, experiencing contacts on all levels every minute of every day. Opting to enhance your appearance with eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) will yield deeply gratifying results, as it instantly refreshes your face and displays a softer more youthful demeanour.
Ear Surgery
Otoplasty (Ears) is an operation to repair prominent ears or “bat ears”. The cause of this common cosmetic problem remains unknown, though like many conditions, there is a hereditary element. This obviously doesn’t mean that a parent with bat ears will always pass it on, but there is a link.
